My Bird Images
As a youngster I was crazy about wildlife, and at the age of 9 became a member of the County Durham Conservation Trust. I was particularly interested in birds and spent a lot of my teenage years at nature reserves bird spotting. I started photographing birds with my Fujica STX1 which my dad bought me when I was 13 and spent many, many hours photographing seabirds on our frequent visits to Scarborough.
Skip forward 4 decades and I have caught the bug again. What more can I say?
I am a proud member of the RSPB the County Durham Wildlife Trust and the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust..
I use a Canon 7D Mk3 with a Canon 100-400 F4 L and a Canon 1.4 Extender.
For Spotting I use Leica and Swarovski Optik Binoculars, a Leica Monocular, a Hawke Spotting Scope and a Hikmicro E2 Thermal Imaging Camera.
